On 11/08 HP, along with a relative and family friend, went on a trip to an old stomping ground, Glendoll, where he hadn’t been for over 20 years, to do the Munros Mayar and Driesh.
At the base of Glendoll forest.
They planned to do Mayar first then Driesh, by approaching via Glendoll, then turning WSW into Corrie of Fee. Pic shows the crags to the SW that provide regular winter climbing routes.
Looking back ENE to Glendoll Forest from Corrie of Fee.
At the top of Mayar looking SW.
Having traversed Mayar they descended to the SW end of Corrie Kilbo taking in the view to the NW of Craig Mellon centre pic.
At the top of Driesh.
Retracing their steps they descended the path on the eastern side of Shank of Drumfollow.
Looking back SW up the path and with the western shoulder of Driesh on the left.
Further on the way down they looked WNW into the head of Glen Doll. A grand day oot!
