06/10/24 Day Walk: Deuchary Hill in The Mist

On 06/10/24 five FVMC members went on a misty walk to Deuchary Hill, about 6km north of Dunkeld. They started from the carpark, just north of the Sawmills at NO 02304 43726 and headed on a clockwise walk through the tracks, taking in Deuchary Hill, as indicated by their route; https://consumerplatform.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/24301034/241006--deuchary-hill--dunkeld?lat=56.602220&lon=-3.623070&zoom=12.2550&style=Leisure&type=2d .

At the first stretch of water encountered. PF gazes over to the northern shore of Polney Loch.

Leaving the SE edge of Rotmell Loch after lunch.

Having then passed Dowally Loch they reach the western end of Loch Ordie. Pic shows the view looking NE and the promise of mist when they head upwards to Deuchary Hill.

The Happy Crew at Loch Ordie and the last of the photos. On leaving Loch Ordie they headed SW from Lochordie Lodge following the path up to Lochan na Beinne, breaking over higher ground to Deuchary Hill, then south to Mill Dam, Cally Loch and the carpark. A dull and misty day but with only a little rain. A good day out covering 20.6km, 555m of ascent in about 6:00hrs including breaks.
