A gentle Borders Day Walk organised by JI to Rubers Law near Hawick.
Starting from the interesting village of Denholm the party took a minor road, then a track up towards the hill. Pic shows the monument to Dr John Leyden on Denholm village green.
They had good views to start with. Pic shows MMcE & MMcL with the Minto hills behind the village of Denholm.
Some unusual public facilities were on offer along the way, including a toilet in a shed nearby too!
At this point the hill is in clear view.

The craggy summit ahead.
…and here it is, a hill with a view - if you use your imagination.
One of the party was clearly in pain, much to the amusement of the others.
Denholm village, Minto Hills and of course Harry, come into view.
The route to the hill is close to the Borders Abbey Way.
Pic shows Dr John Leydens birthplace and one of the few thatched cottages in Scotland. An interesting day out with good company.
